These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of this website and the services provided through it (the “Platform – Odist Research Index”). By accessing, browsing, or using the Platform, or by purchasing any paid services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should not use the Platform.
Nature of the Platform
The Platform operates as an academic indexing, profiling, and discovery service. It provides curated researcher profiles and structured listings of scholarly publications for informational and visibility purposes only.
The Platform does not act as a publisher, journal, repository, or distributor of full-text academic content. All full papers, books, chapters, and other scholarly works remain hosted on their original publisher, journal, or institutional websites.
The Platform displays only metadata such as titles, abstracts, publication details, and external links provided by the researcher or obtained from publicly available sources.
Eligibility
By using the Platform, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement under the laws applicable to you.
Researchers submitting information represent that they are the rightful author, co-author, editor, or authorized representative of the works listed, or otherwise have the legal right to share the provided information and links.
Researcher Accounts and Profiles
Each paid subscription applies to one individual researcher profile unless otherwise explicitly agreed.
Researchers are responsible for providing accurate, complete, and up-to-date information, including names, affiliations, publication details, and external links. The Platform relies on the information supplied and does not independently verify authorship claims beyond reasonable checks.
The Platform reserves the right to request clarification or supporting information if there are concerns regarding accuracy, duplication, or misrepresentation.
Definition of Publications
For the purposes of paid plans, a “publication” is defined as a formally published scholarly output with a stable external source. This includes, but is not limited to:
Peer-reviewed journal articles
Conference papers published in proceedings
Books authored or co-authored
Book chapters in edited volumes
Edited volumes
Official reports or policy papers published by recognized institutions
Unpublished manuscripts, working papers, preprints without final publication, posters, presentations, datasets, blogs, opinion pieces, or informal articles are not treated as publications under paid plans unless explicitly stated.
Publication Limits and Plan Scope
Each paid plan includes a clearly stated limit on the total number of publications that may be listed and maintained on the researcher’s profile at any time. “Total publications” refers to the cumulative number of publication records displayed from the researcher’s entire career, not the number published in a single year.
Plans may also include a limit on the number of new publications added during a subscription period.
If a researcher reaches or exceeds the applicable plan limit, additional publications may be added only after upgrading to a higher plan or by replacing existing entries to remain within the plan limits.
The Platform does not remove or alter records without prior notice except in cases of legal necessity or policy violation.
Subscription Fees and Payments
Subscription fees are charged on an annual basis unless otherwise stated. Fees are payable in advance and are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.
The Platform reserves the right to modify pricing, features, or plan structures for future subscription periods. Any such changes will not affect an active subscription until its renewal.
Failure to renew a subscription may result in suspension of maintenance services or removal of premium features.
Maintenance and Updates
During an active subscription period, the Platform provides reasonable maintenance services as described in the selected plan. This may include adding new publication records, updating affiliations, and correcting formatting or link issues when notified by the researcher.
The Platform does not guarantee immediate updates and processes requests within a reasonable timeframe.
Free Articles and Commentary
The Platform may allow researchers to submit free academic articles, commentary, or idea pieces in designated sections. Such submissions are optional and separate from paid publication indexing services.
The Platform reserves full editorial discretion to accept, reject, edit, or remove such content to maintain academic quality, clarity, and relevance.
Intellectual Property and Copyright
All intellectual property rights in the content published on external websites remain with the original authors or publishers.
By submitting information to the Platform, researchers grant the Platform a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, format, and distribute metadata and abstracts solely for the purpose of operating and promoting the Platform.
The Platform respects intellectual property rights and will respond to valid copyright infringement notices in accordance with applicable laws.
Third-Party Links
The Platform contains links to third-party websites, including publisher and institutional pages. The Platform does not control and is not responsible for the content, availability, or accuracy of external sites.
Accessing third-party links is at the user’s own risk.
Disclaimers
The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. While reasonable care is taken to maintain accuracy, the Platform makes no warranties regarding completeness, reliability, or uninterrupted availability.
The Platform does not guarantee academic impact, citation counts, visibility outcomes, or professional advancement.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Platform shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the use of or inability to use the Platform or services.
Total liability, if any, shall not exceed the amount paid by the user for the applicable subscription period.
Termination
The Platform reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to services if these Terms are violated, if false or misleading information is provided, or if required by law.
Termination does not relieve users of payment obligations incurred prior to termination.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where the Platform is operated, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Users agree that disputes shall be subject to the competent courts of that jurisdiction unless otherwise required by mandatory local law.
Changes to These Terms
The Platform may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

For questions, clarifications, or legal concerns regarding these Terms, users may contact the Platform through the official contact details provided on the website’s contact page.
